We’ve been reflecting on the moments that matter most to our travellers, which are shaped by our core values of Service, Friendship, Trust, Quality and Inclusivity. What stands out are the real stories that bring these values to life on every tour.


A Story of Friendship

For Sandie, choosing to spend her birthday in South Africa wasn’t just about the destination. It was about creating new memories on a day that can feel especially poignant.

From the moment the group sang “Happy Birthday” on the coach, to receiving a card signed by the One Traveller office team, the day was filled with thoughtful surprises. Fellow travellers added their own touches, a chocolate gift here, a shared moment there. Turning strangers into friends.

As the journey unfolded through misty coastlines, dramatic mountain passes, and the vast landscapes of the Little Karoo, the celebrations continued. At the summit of the Swartberg Pass, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the group sang again. A simple but powerful reminder of connection.

The day ended with a homemade chocolate cake, a bottle of red wine, and a traditional South African braai shared together.

While travelling independently on a long-haul flight to visit family, Pam found herself in conversation the passenger seated next to her. What started as small talk turned into a two-hour discussion about travel experiences and tour companies.
