    Description

In late spring as the snow melts from the highest peaks, nature creates a display of waterfalls and flowing streams that will be your daily breath-taking view from the comfort of your ship. This truly is Fred. Olsens home territory that they know best! This cruise gets so deep into the fjords that every turn offers a new wonder!

We include two fantastic scenic train rides. The Flam railway from the Sognefjord to the mountaintop at Myrdal at 863 metres above sea level. Also, in Bergen, where we include an introductory tour and the funicular up Mt Floyen. Bergen has many attractions including the UNESCO listed Bryggen Wharf with its colourful timbered houses, once home to the Hanseatic League, cobbled streets and vibrant fish market. From Alesund we include a ride on the Rauma Railway through one of the most spectacular scenic areas in Norway and the Troll Mountains.

Fjords and lakes Norway has in abundance and you will experience the sloping green mountainsides of the enchanting Nordfjord, the cascading Fureberg Waterfall and the Queen of the Fjords Hardangerfjord. The included excursions in Olden and Eidfjord take you deep into the mountains to the untouched Lovatnet & Halne Lakes and a world of majestic glaciers.
