One Traveller is a British Airways appointed operator and as such many of our holidays depart on British Airways flights. We have been informed today by the airline that all Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphone devices have been banned from all British Airways operated flights as of Tuesday 25 October. This is following the official recall of Samsung Galaxy Note7 phones and an increasing number of countries banning the devices from air transportation.

What does this mean for our guests?

Please don't travel to the airport with your phone, it will not be allowed on the plane, not even in your checked baggage in the hold; the company is opening up stalls inside airports to let owners swap or get a refund for the phablet before boarding their flight this however may not be the case at your departure airport in which case the phone would need to be disposed off before being allowed to continue through security.
