1 Travel from the UK to Prague
Meet your One Traveller representative at the main departure airport and fly to Prague. On arrival transfer to your four-star hotel for a three-night stay. If flying from a regional airport you will be met by our representative in Prague and escorted to the hotel.
Evening: welcome drinks reception followed by dinner.
2 Prague; city tour and lunch cruise
Morning: relaxed walking tour with a local Czech guide, including the Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge and the Old Town.
Lunch: get to know your travelling companions over included lunch on board our privately chartered boat with live music and drinks as you cruise along Smetana’s Vltava River.
Afternoon: you will be able to enjoy some free time in the heart of the city, after which our coach will take you back to the hotel.
Evening: dinner with a drink in the fantastic Municipal House in the very centre of the city followed by a short-guided driving tour.
3 Prague Castle
Morning: optional guided tour of Prague Castle’s highlights, including St Vitus Cathedral and the Golden Lane. Alternatively enjoy some more free time in the heart of Prague.
Afternoon: free to enjoy Prague at your own pace.
Evening: included dinner in the hotel with a drink.
4 Travel from Prague to Vienna
Morning: transfer from Prague to Vienna (distance between Prague and Vienna is approximately 160 miles).
Lunch: there will be time to enjoy lunch in the beautiful Czech Renaissance town of Telč.
Late afternoon: check-in to your Vienna hotel in the heart of the embassy district.
Evening: a welcome drink followed by an included buffet dinner in the hotel.
5 Vienna; city tour
Morning: guided tour of the Imperial city, taking in such sights as the Viennese State Opera House, the Town Hall and the Hofburg and Belvedere Palaces, and the unusual architecture of the Hundertwasser House.
Afternoon: At leisure in the heart of the main district.
Evening: included buffet dinner.
Concert: tonight you have the opportunity to attend a classical concert in the Palais Auersperg.
6 Schönbrunn Palace and gardens
Morning: guided tour inside stunning Schönbrunn Palace built to eclipse Versailles and all other European palaces with its Marie Antoinette bedroom and vast porcelain collection.
Afternoon: At leisure in the grounds of the palace with the magnificent Neptune Fountain, Gloriette triumphal arch and Baroque gardens.
Evening: optional traditional Heurigen dinner and entertainment in a Viennese tavern.
7 Travel from Vienna to Budapest
Morning: transfer from Vienna to Budapest. On route you will stop for an extended break at the Austrian town of Eisenstadt, made famous by the composer Josef Haydn with its beautiful Esterhazy Palace. (Distance between Vienna and Budapest is approximately 140 miles).
Late afternoon: arrival at your centrally located Hotel Benczur.
Evening: welcome drink followed by an included three-course dinner. After dinner your first chance to explore Budapest by night with an optional scenic champagne cruise.
8 Budapest; city tour
Morning: guided tour of this lovely city, stopping off at Heroes Square, the old Castle district, and the Parliament Building.
Afternoon: free time in Budapest; perhaps visit the famous Szechenyi Baths (within walking distance of your hotel).
Evening: included three-course dinner.
9 Gödöllő Palace & Equestrian show
Morning: an included excursion to the Royal Palace with a guided tour (favourite of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth). From here you will visit the equestrian centre of Lázár (current home of the world champion horses) where you will enjoy a performance of magnificent Hungarian equestrian skills.
Afternoon: Mid-afternoon return to your hotel in the heart of Budapest to relax or explore the city further.
Evening: farewell traditional Hungarian gypsy show with dinner and wine in the oldest cellar in the city.
10 Return flight to the UK
Today after breakfast you can relax in the morning before transferring to the airport for our midday flight back to the UK.
