A feast of music awaits you in the Deep South, from Country, Bluegrass, Rock 'n' Roll, Soul and Blues to Jazz. This is the friendliest part of the USA, where history is cherished from the Native Americans and the Civil War and through to more modern music culture. Traditions here are kept and celebrated like nowhere else in the country.
The city of New Orleans spends its entire year planning for one of the biggest celebrations on earth, held every Shrove Tuesday. With its origins dating back to when the priest of each parish would parade through the streets offering rosary beads to give strength through the next 40 days, the citizens throw a unique party almost unsurpassed anywhere in the world! The city streets are lined with numerous parades where beads, trinkets and gifts are thrown to the crowds. From your grandstand seat you will watch dancers, musicians, military bands and celebrities making the parade go with a swing, or as they say in New Orleans, "laissez les bon temps roulez!" or "let the good times roll!".
