    Description

Kraków, the former capital of Poland, is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in central Europe. It is dominated by St. Marys Church, where buglers mark each hour, and the Cloth Hall which makes for a splendid backdrop for visitors shopping at the Christmas market, where wooden stalls offer a variety of gifts from delicacies to traditional items such as, woollen clothes and locally-crafted jewellery. The replicas of traditional nativity scenes are unique, colourful and richly decorated structures, which use the citys historic buildings to depict the birth of Jesus.

A visit to the Rynek Underground Museum takes you on an underground route through medieval market stalls and other long forgotten chambers. As well as a guided tour of Krakows historic Jewish quarter and working synagogue, you will visit a working Christmas decoration factory and have the chance to decorate and take home your own hand-painted Christmas decoration.

Included is a magnificent Chopin concert in opulent surroundings and the stunning Wieliczka Salt Mines. You will also enjoy good hearty Polish food in local restaurants, tastings of some of the many vodkas Poland is famous for and warm up with hot wine or mead amongst the festive atmosphere of the Christmas market.
