    Description

This trip of a lifetime is packed with wonderful sights! In Beijing, you will see the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, experience life in the old Hu-Tong area in a rickshaw and have lunch with a local family; in Xi’an the Terracotta Warriors; in Chengdu in the southwest province of Sichuan, the Giant Panda Conservation Centre to observe these rare creatures in their natural-like habitat.

In Shanghai, a visit to a traditional water town, the famous Bund on the waterfront with its dramatic skyline on one side and colonial buildings on the other (best viewed on our included Huang Po river cruise). We also include three nights in Guilin in southern China with a day cruising on the beautiful Li River with its haunting shaped karsts, fields of water buffalo and cormorant fishermen who have not allowed time to change their age-old way of life.

We include evenings at the Peking Opera, the magnificent Tang Dynasty folklore show in Xi’an and the astounding world-famous Shanghai acrobats. With all meals, with a drink included, and a range of unique experiences thrown in this truly is an amazing cultural experience!
