The world's greatest carnivals

Starting as a final celebration before Lent begins, ‘Carnevale’ is as popular in Italy now as it was in the 1200s, with thousands of Italians and visitors from all over the world coming to see Italy dressed in full costume. The most famous celebrations take place in Venice, Cento and Viareggio on the Tuscan coast, known for their huge paper mâché caricatures of politicians, animals and other figures and floats that get more and more elaborate each year.
In the New Orleans, Mardi Gras is one of the world’s biggest celebrations where citizens throw beads, trinkets and gifts to the eager crowd (you!) as they dance to traditional jazz music. This 15 day holiday takes in Nashville, Memphis and the Mississippi Delta.
All holidays include your own double room, excursions, meals and drinks!
