With Ben’s strong background in the singles holiday market, he understands the needs of single travellers and the hurdles sometimes faced when deciding to travel solo. With this knowledge and passion for single travel comes understanding and compassion, Ben has kindly answered some of the most common initial single traveller questions:

Why do people go on singles holidays?
Many people want to see the world but don’t want to go alone, One Traveller holidays are the perfect way to travel. You’ll visit new places and enjoy the company of other sociable single travellers, with an experienced Tour Manager on hand to make sure everything goes smoothly.

What’s the best thing about going on a solo holiday?
Travelling to places you’ve always wanted to go, with a group of like-minded people where you can all enjoy excursions and visits together – or take some time out and do your own thing. One of our customers has said that “you’re all going on your own but you’re not on your own.”

Why choose single travel if you’re going away on your own?
We know that people travel on their own for many reasons – so whether you are single or you and your partner simply prefer different kinds of holidays, you’ll be very welcome. As long as you enjoy meeting new people and visiting new places, you’ll feel at home as soon as you meet your group.
many of our customers say that their only regret is that they didn’t book a holiday with us sooner!

How many people are there in a group and what age are they?
On average, we have about 20-25 but never more than 30; based on feedback from our One Travellers, we have found this to be the most comfortable group sizes, many single traveller companies escort groups upwards of 45 people where the attention to detail can often become overlooked.

Your holiday could include people in their early 50s or their late 90s and everything in between. The majority of our customers are in their 50s and 60s and 70s.

What would be your top three tips for choosing a first-time solo traveller holiday?
1 - If you want to take a singles holiday but want to be sure it will be right for you, our Prague Luxury holiday is the perfect way to find out. You’ll spend 6 days at a beautiful hotel and meet other travellers in a relaxed and stunning city.

2 - If you are nervous about travelling alone for the first time, why not give us a call or take a look at our testimonials page? Our One Travellers are very vocal about the holidays they have been on with us.

3 - Finally, we’d suggest you choose a destination you’ve always wanted to visit – the other people on the trip have picked the same tour as you – so you already have something in common!
