Introducing Fred. Olsen's Bolette & Borealis

As we look forward to 2022 and setting sale once again, our partners Fred. Olsen cruise lines are delighted to introduce you to the two newest members of their fleet, Bolette and Borealis.
Their creation has been guided by a set of principles, also known as ‘The Olsen Way’, something which sets Fred. Olsen apart from other cruise lines.
In recent years a new era of cruising has emerged with a trend for larger, busier ships, with a cruise being seen as an alternative to a large luxury resort with a limitless flurry of activity. Fred. Olsen, however, see things a little differently, believing that smaller is better, keeping their onboard experiences uncrowded, warm and civilised – treating passengers as guests rather than numbers.
What does 'The Olsen Way' mean for One Traveller guests?
- Fewer passengers means that the crew can get to know our guests, and that the atmosphere on board our ships is always warm and civilised. The size of Fred. Olsen’s ships also enable them to access more interesting places, meaning they can dock in the heart of some of the world’s most beautiful cities.
- Fred. Olsen believe that there are certain things that can only happen when people put genuine care and positivity into what they do. Their crew are sincere, not scripted and are as enthusiastic about travel as our guests.
- Scenic cruising routes are designed to take in all the islands, ports, waterways, lochs and lakes, fjords and interesting seascapes that are out there.
- A focus on quality means that every detail has been considered and constantly reviewed. All ships even sail with a team of crafts people to ensure that everything always looks its best.
Discover Bolette & Borealis
Proudly bearing the name of Fred. Olsen Jr.’s great-great-grandmother, as many other Olsen vessels have over the years, Bolette exudes classic, elegant style in her exterior and interior design, features spacious and comfortable public areas, and has all the facilities and special touches you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Whereas Borealis, proudly connects with, and represents, the Olsen’s family’s history and Norwegian heritage. Stylish, spacious and comfortable, with capacity for fewer than 1,400 guests, she’s in keeping with our commitment to offering a more traditional style of cruising.
