FULL PLANNED ITINERARY

Please note that the itinerary below is just to give you an idea of how the tour will look. You will do/have the opportunity to take part in everything mentioned below however it may be in a slightly different order depending on circumstances.

Day One – Travel from UK to Prague (This will always be day 1!)
This is your travelling day from the UK across to Prague. When you get to your departure airport (Heathrow or Manchester) and you will be met by your Tour Manager who will be accompanying you across on the Czech Airlines flight to Prague. Czech Airlines is the Czech Republic’s state run airline and the onboard service is excellent. You will also meet your travelling companions.
On arrival at the airport in Prague you and the group (and Tour Manager) will all meet at the luggage reclaim and once you have your luggage your Tour Manager will take you into the main arrivals hall where he/she will arrange for your luxury coach to transfer you to your hotel for the 5 night stay.
On the way to the hotel the Tour Manager will give you some useful information on some of the dos and do not’s of Prague. On arrival at the hotel you will check in and the Tour Manager will let you know what time you will be meeting later for the evening meal. The schedule will start properly the following day.

Day 2 – Included Tour of Prague
In the morning, after a nice breakfast in the hotel you will meet up with your Tour Manager and the rest of the party and you will be transferred by coach into the centre of Prague for your included relaxed walking tour of the city. Prague is a largely pedestrianised city which means that all the main attractions can and must be seen on foot. For example you can stand on the Old Town Square and 10 minutes walking in one direction will take you to the Wenceslas Square, 10 minutes in another direction will take you to the Charles Bridge and 10 minutes in yet another direction will take you to the Jewish Quarter. The morning’s relaxed walk will be interrupted with an elevenses stop! The tour itself will be guided by a local Czech guide who has been carefully selected by ONE TRAVELLER to give you the best introduction to this beautiful city.
After the Walking tour you will have an important decision to make; namely, do you want to spend the afternoon entirely free to shop or would you like to join our optional lunch cruise which is onboard a boat exclusively for ONE TRAVELLER clients. The cruise lasts for one and a half hours and includes a buffet lunch, live musician and our own river guide as well as lunch and a couple of drinks. After the cruise you will have more time in the centre to shop.

After free time in the afternoon the coach with the Tour Manager will transfer you back to your hotel.

This evening you will have the opportunity to see Prague at night time which will involve a panoramic driving tour around the city followed by a delicious meal in the Municipal House (the finest example of Art Noveau architecture in the city) and finishing with a visit to the exhibition grounds to view the dancing water fountains (3000 jets of water all dancing to music (usually classical) which lasts for approximately 40 minutes).

Day 3 – Included Prague Castle
After a good night’s rest and an enjoyable breakfast you will be taken on your coach to visit the most visited Tourist attraction in the city, the Prague Castle. To call it just a ‘Castle’ is actually quite misleading as the Castle is a little bit like a Kremlin (a walled city). Within the grounds of the Castle you will find the St. Vitus Cathedral (where the ‘St. Vitus’s dance’ gets its name), the Old Royal Palace and the Golden Lane. Our included guided trip (with your specially selected ONE TRAVELLER local tour guide) will take to all these things and will last the whole morning. The afternoon will be free for you to enjoy Prague at your leisure – your Tour Manager can recommend some nice things for you to do in your free time. After your free afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel along with the Tour Manager and the rest of the party.
The evening meal is included at the hotel this evening.
After this evening’s meal you will have the opportunity to see a classical concert in the centre of the City in one of Prague’s most impressive concert halls. You will be informed of the exact program in resort.

Day 4 – included Karlstejn Castle
Most visitors on a trip to the Czech Republic will only visit Prague,  with ONE TRAVELLER however, we are actually going to spend 2 days visiting the countryside outside of Prague which will give you a flavour of what the country is about (and value for money), not just the Capital.
Today after breakfast we will be going outside of Prague to see the beautiful village of Karlstejn. The trip will involve a guided tour of the picture perfect Karlstejn Castle and plenty of free time for lunch and shopping for Bohemia Crystal in this stunning Village.
At the end of the day we will travel back to our hotel in Prague. (If you would like extra time shopping in the centre of Prague then we can arrange to drop you in the centre on the way back to the hotel).

This evening you will have the opportunity to have a typically Czech night out in a famous restaurant in the City. You will be entertained in true Czech style with live music and excellent Czech cuisine.

Day 5 – Included Day to Karlovy Vary
Today after breakfast we will be leaving the hotel to go to the Spa town of Karlovy Vary.
Karlovy Vary (”Charles's bath”), is a city located in the north western part of the Czech Republic. The city is famous for its mineral springs which were believed to have been discovered in 1347 by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV.
We will travel to the city; have a guided tour of the Centre, followed by some free time before returning to our hotel in Prague.

For your last evening in Prague you will have the opportunity to finish off in style by going to a very exclusive dinner and dance ‘Gypsy style’ evening. Czechs clad in traditional Eastern European style dress, band playing Traditional as well as contemporary music and very talented singers. Watch the professionals as they dance their traditional folk dances such as the Polka, the Chardash and the Mazurka and many other dances. The 3 course meal is excellent and drink is all included in the price. What a way to finish up our 6 Day break.

Day 6 – Transfer to the Airport for flight home
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport by your Tour Manager who will ensure that your check-in for your Czech Airlines flight back to the UK goes smoothly.
